
Huawei Propels CDMA Metro Optical Transmission Solution
ANAHEIM, CA: In a recently held event, Huawei disclosed its latest solution CDMA Metro Optical Transmission solution that has been designed to provide WDM technology. The technology supports direct coupling and transmission of up to 2560 nodes and flexible service rate configuration from 6.25 Gbit/s to 200 Gbit/s for single nodes. In addition, a total convergence capacity of 16 Tbit/s is also included with the solution’s offerings.
Huawei, known as a global Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solutions provider focuses on delivering an improved ICT connectivity across enterprises. The company’s solutions and services lead enterprises to experience high-performance and high-availability transport networks.

The company's coherent CDMA metro optical transmission prototype supports and authenticates accesses of 32 nodes on a single wavelength for deploying the same wavelength with multiple nodes. It provides different orthogonal spreading codes to each node so that users can easily recover data from nodes.
Receivers can extract 200 Gbit/s (32 x 6.25 Gbit/s) capacities from 32 nodes that can be transmitted over a single wavelength. The solution is an integrated phase of WDM technology that endows accesses of 2560 nodes over 80 wavelengths within C band and also capable to provide the complete capacity of 16 Tbit/s. Its comprehensive platforms are able to manage rate adjustments through the spreading code assignment, achieving access of multiple nodes and flexible bandwidth granularities.
Additionally, the coupled and transmitted optical signals simplify the design of optical-layer and reduce CAPEX and OPEX. Huawei's expeditious improvement on their ICT services and solutions offerings such as 4K video, cloud, and mobile Internet services leads its customers to face most advanced transport network solutions which can be accommodated with larger bandwidth demands and shape the future for optical networks.
