FREMONT, CA:  Verizon Enterprise Solutions, a provider of advanced communication solutions, unveils its new Managed Software-Defined Wide Area Network (Managed SD-WAN) service that harnesses the power of the Internet with the performance and reliability of a private IP network. The solution will be offered by leveraging Cisco’s Intelligent WAN (IWAN) technology targeting better operation efficiencies and drive deployment of new services.

Organizations moving their operations online need a secure and flexible solution such as multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) network that delivers real-time and mission critical applications to users seamlessly. The latest offering from Verizon maps each application on the network to a routing policy which is defined by the enterprise on an application-by-application basis. When network conditions shift, real-time automated and manual route changes enable enterprise data to be delivered over the best available transport for each application.

Verizon’s latest solution offers benefits to enterprises such as better user experience, secure infrastructure and applications, low operating costs and IT agility.

“Verizon and Cisco have joined forces to enable a whole new generation of networking solutions that help companies operate more efficiently and with greater agility,” says Shawn Hakl, VP, Enterprise Networking and Innovation, Verizon. “Our focus is to help enterprises improve the performance and security of their networks by using the most effective means of connecting mobile users to cloud applications. More than ever, today’s networks require rigorous oversight and expert management to meet the constant demands of the digital age.”
