Hibernia Networks Brings its Latest Ethernet-based Cloud Connectivity to Equinix Cloud Exchange Platform
FREMONT, CA: To enable cloud providers provide high-speed connectivity for latency sensitive and data-intensive cloud applications, Hibernia Networks, a provider of high speed global telecommunications services, offers Ethernet connectivity to and within the Equinix Cloud Exchange in Asia, Europe and North America through its newly unveiled EtherReach Cloud Exchange solution.
Equinix Cloud Exchange is an Ethernet switching service that enables private virtual connections for direct cloud access with automated provisioning. It brings together cloud service providers and users enabling them to establish affordable, private, high-performance connections within Platform Equinix. By enabling buyers and sellers quickly provision cloud connections through the Cloud Exchange Portal or programmatically through APIs, the platform allow sellers to build a single interface for scalable provisioning and management of private, secure connections to their cloud services. Customers using the Portal or API can allocate, monitor and modify virtual circuits in near real-time. The provisioning of virtual circuits is automated end-to end, from the Cloud Exchange to the cloud service provider that saves time and reduces operational complexity.
Executing financial transactions across the fastest network assures competitiveness: to offer a tiered structure of high speed network connectivity solutions which vary in latency depending on requirements, EtherReach Cloud Exchange leverages Hibernia Express, a new low-latency, high-capacity subsea transatlantic cable that connects North America and Europe. It utilizes the most advanced Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology that increases bandwidth over existing fiber networks enabling 100Gbps service with 200Gbps service.
The Hibernia Networks’ EtherReach Cloud Exchange service provides fast and secure network connectivity to the Equinix Cloud Exchange platform that gives access to many cloud providers including leading IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service), PaaS (Platform as-a-Service) and SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure and Office 365, Oracle, Softlayer, and VMware vCloud Air.
“EtherReach Cloud Exchange provides enterprises, system integrators and wholesale customers with a secure, dedicated global network connectivity solution to the robust selection of cloud service providers available on the Equinix Cloud Exchange. Combining a more consistent and lower latency network experience with access to cost-effective cloud services allows customers to simplify operations, improve efficiencies and accelerate time to market,” says Al DiGabriele, senior vice president of product and marketing, Hibernia Networks.
